Event: Pop Culture Fair
Not that anyone here from the EGS is involved with this event, but the Edmonton Pop Culture Fair is coming up this Sunday, April 24. It's going to be held at the Edmonton Aviation Heritage Centre, 11410 Kingsway Ave., from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is $4. You can get more info here.
Why am I mentioning it? Well, I've been to the past two fairs, and let me tell you something: if you're even remotely interested in standing in an airplane hangar full of collectables - comics, cds, records, photos, toys, cards, and the like - and over 50% of Edmonton's geek community, then you should go, even for half an hour. Even my girlfriend enjoys herself there, and the geekiest thing she enjoys is the odd episode of Star Trek.

No, let's get this straight, Dev: Your girlfriend enjoys spending time with YOU, not enjoys spending time at a pop culture fair.
When the three of us went, not so much enjoyment on her part. Mostly because the two of us were like 8-year-olds on a sugar rush.
Yes, but if she went without having to feel like she was babysitting two grown men, she'd have a much better time.
Actually, that probably explains why the three of us don't hang out that often, regardless of the location...
I am so very there. I couldn't be more there if a future-me who was already there went back in time to grab a past-me, took him there, then the two of them came to me and warped me there. That's how "there" I am, man. That's how "there" I am...
Nitpick: that wasn't a review. Do we have a review of this event?
"Actually, that probably explains why the three of us don't hang out that often, regardless of the location..."
Let's face it. You and her hanging out. Competely fine. Me and her hanging out. A lot of fun.
The three of us hanging out? It's either you and I acting like baboons, or me burying her under umpteen pillows in the couch, just because I can. And then she draws blood.
All in the name of fun, of course...
"Nitpick: that wasn't a review. Do we have a review of this event?"
Four entries of a certain format does not equal the format of the blog set in stone.
This is a blog where we can get geeky. And one of the ways we show geekiness is through critiquing. And sometimes it's just gushing.
Doesn't have to be strictly reviews, is what I'm getting at.
And I was working under the impression that it was a review blog. If we wanted to geek, we have three blogs of our own.
Four, if you count Percy Bites Shelley! I don't!
Did you want to start a blog called the Edmonton Review Society? Because you could, if you wanted.
Also, let the PBS go, already! I have!
At this point, all you're doing is entertaining Justice...
Well then, someone's reading us.
Only you know what the purported difference is between this blog and BTHTRM, Jago. Only you and a select cadre of Vatican cardinals.
Also: when do I get to post a valid observation without people getting defensive?
